We are asked this question many times, by people from our community, when they see our sisters with their head veiling. Many of the members of our fellowship do have Mennonite or Amish backgrounds, and many in the community call us Mennonites because of our attire, but we prefer to be called Christians or followers of Christ rather than followers of Menno Simons which is where the name Mennonite comes from. We do consider the Anabaptist's, of the 15th and 16th centuries true people of God. |
